The following checklist is based on the state curriculum for 4th Grade.  I have taken the broadly stated curriculum and created this detailed checklist.  List of styles, cultures, and countries are a list of the possibilities from our Silver Burdett textbook.  Please feel free to offer input on my curriculum checklist project.  Words in orange are basic music vocabulary I have assigned to 4th grade.  Words in other colors are carried over from previous grade levels.  For a complete list of all vocabulary assigned to each grade level, click here

Sounds and timbre:

1. I know the families of instruments and how they make sound.
