Hello Teachers!!
Download some of my materials below.  You are welcome to edit any of my work as you see fit to use in your own classroom.  I only ask that you please don't sell my work to others.

Click below to download a worksheet for the DVD "Pulse: A Stomp Odyssey."  There are two WORD documents, so it's meant to run off as a 2-sided worksheet.  On the map side students write a number in the circles to indicate the order of the countries visited.  On the list side the students describe what they see and hear for each country, e.g. clapping, drums, dancing, singing, etc.

More PowerPoints:

Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens

This is a timed Ppt that corresponds to the CD I have.  If the CD you have isn't the same one, the timing won't correspond and you'll need to take out the automatic slide transitions.  This is based on the work of a very talented lady from the MK8 list.  Thank you VERY MUCH!!

Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 3, Finale PowerPoint

Originally created in preparation for our NC Symphony field trip.  The timings on the slides correspond to the CD sent by the NC Symphony.  There are very simple rhythm patterns for the students to play along on quiet instruments as they listen, but be warned there are many hemiolas and the patterns are a challenge to maintain with the meter seems to change.  There is also a suggestion to let students create scarf movement for part of the music.

Jennifer Higdon "Peachtree Street" PowerPoint

Originally created in preparation for the NC Symphony concert field trip.  This contains basic bio info, a lesson suggestion, and a listening map.

Franz Schubert - Overture to Rosamunde PowerPoint

Originally created in preparation for the NC Symphony field trip.  This Schubert PowerPoint is a large file with lots of graphics.  There is basic bio info on Schubert, the themes for the Overture are outlined and there is a listening map with simple instrument parts for students to play softly as they listen.  The timing on the listening map corresponds with the CD sent by the NC Symphony.  Note that some of the graphics animate on a click and you will need to be familiar with the music to know when to click.

I really appreciate the many positive and encouraging comments I've received on my site from teachers around the world.  My site was really easy to put together thanks to www.tripod.com .  It's template driven and very user-friendly.  It's free too, if you don't mind banner ads.  Since I have students accessing my site, I decided to pay the small fee per month to have the ads removed.  Check out Tripod.com and see for yourself.  I have created online photo album sites to share personal photos with family too.  You can create many sites all with the same user account which is free and easy to set up.
